Friends of JAS Attended May 2026 Paws 4 A Cause
Friends of JAS attended its second-annual Paws 4 A Cause on May 2, 2026, at Heritage Park in Olympia. The annual event raises money through registration fees and donations for the Animal Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society. Friends of JAS hosted an information booth at the event to further our mission to spread awareness to the public about Joint Animal Services, its needs, and its successes.
While we take our mission seriously, we also had a blast attending and soaking up the sun. We loved connecting with fellow animal lovers, meeting community members and their dogs, and supporting an event that raises awareness and funds for cancer research benefiting both people and pets. Events like this are a great way to come together as a community while supporting causes that make a real difference. 💛
We would like to extend a special thank you to Friends of JAS member Ellen who helped staff our booth. We are always looking for volunteers to represent Friends of JAS at public events. That could be you! We advertise our upcoming events, like Tumwater Dog Days on June 13 and the Capital Lakefair Parade on July 19, in our newsletter and on this website. If you are interested, drop us a note through the website or email us at info@friendsofjas.org.
